The Handmaid's Tale
So I watched the tv show, the first season, and I thought that I need to know more. So I started that book.
And the book is really good, it has some strong ideas, and it's a joy to read it, but... But I found myself quite disappointed when I got the end and realized, that it ends up at the very same place where the first season ended.
So there's not much new information really for those who watched the show. And, apparently in the second season, the screenwriters are on their own. Although Margaret Atwood works closely with the showrunners there's still a chance it'll be good, so let's wait and hope.
